I am a human, I have many interests, and I dislike being labelled after just one of them at a time. For the sake of introduction, I prefer describing myself as a marine biologist turned data scientist.
I have a Bachelor in Biological Sciences, with a dissertation on Open Data for scientific research, and a Master in Marine Biology, with a dissertation on spatial analysis and sustainable management. I am the author of fishRman, a Shiny R Dashboard improving Global Fishing Watch data availability. Last but not least, I am the first member of Open-Source for Marine and Ocean Sciences (OSMOS).
